Several of our independent massage and bodywork therapist have been trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory, and Eastern bodywork techniques including acupressure points and meridian work, TuiNa medical massage techniques and cupping therapy (a negative pressure version of massage).
We have several Certified Cupping Therapists on staff, and all licensed massage therapists at Renu have been trained to use it effectively.
What does this mean for you?
In each session we work to balance your Qi (pronounced “chee”) which the ancient Chinese believe is the energy source that gives each of us life. Qi includes all types of energy associated with your health and can become stagnant and congested just like everything else in life.
Our Reiki master & CranioSacral Bodywork Therapist will also work with your energetic fields to restore balance and promote healing on an energetic and spiritual level in a customized service she calls Integrative Energetic Therapy.
We use ancient healing techniques to assist you in restoring your body, mind & spirit to their balanced state, whether through massage, cupping, energetic healing, or a spa package (singles, or couples) with the sauna.
The ancient Chinese also believe in the balance of two fundamental opposite energies, yin and yang. Day and night, male and female, hot and cold, energetic and physical are all examples of a yang and yin pair. Each person’s yin and yang energy should be balanced as we move through the cycles of each day, each month, each season, and each phase of our lives.
Daily stresses on the mind, body or spirit, imbalances in nutrition or sleep, and postural imbalances can all create disharmony in your energy. Over time, physical pain, headaches, anxiety, menstrual pain, indigestion and more can result. You will receive attention to your energetic balance in every session at Renu, which serves as preventive health care when done regularly.
